Valentino Resort and Spa Batangas – Review and Itinerary

Valentino Resort and Spa is a go-to place to unwind especially if you’re a nature lover. Service is good, the restaurant is great, lots of options for rooms depending on your budget. One of the best places to take a moment and de-stress.
It’s been a while since the last time we visited a resort. Things have been very busy after the holiday, juggling a full-time job and other adulthood stuff. We never really had time to look for an overnight staycation. But this week, we got an invitation for a birthday celebration to be held in one of the resorts in Batangas – The Valentino Resort and Spa.
Valentino Resort and Spa
Valentino Resort and Spa is located at Brgy. San Jose, near Mt. Maculot which is very popular among hikers. It was created from the simple thought of combining a health spa and a resort so you might as well prepare yourself to be relaxed and pampered!

How to go to Valentino Resort and Spa?
Option 1 – From Batangas or Laguna
- Ride a jeep going to Lemery or Cuenca at Lipa Grand Terminal beside SM. (expect to wait 30 minutes to one hour until the jeep is full) and tell the driver to drop you off at Pinagtung-ulan where Corcolon Lomi House or Valentino Resort and Spa is.
- Ride a tricycle to the resort or just walk. It’s only 3 to 5 minutes away from the highway.
Option 2 – From Manila
- Ride a bus at Buendia going to Lemery. You can try DLTB or JAM Liner. Then, get off at Cuenca. Ask the driver to drop you off at Pinagtung-ulan, San Jose at Valentino Spa Resort. Then, follow instruction number 3 above.
Option 3 – From Alabang
Take the bus bound for Batangas in Alabang. Get off at Tambo Exit and ride a jeep going to Cuenca. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Valentino Resort and Spa. Then walk or ride a tricycle going to the resort.
Upon arrival, I’m surprised by how spacious the resort is, not to mention its nice reception area. Valentino Resort and Spa is a well-maintained resort that offers total serenity, relaxation, and adventure rolled into one.
Italian Villa:

We stayed in one of their villas – Italian Villa to be exact. I honestly don’t have any complaints about the room that they gave us. It has 1 bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a nice balcony overlooking their two swimming pools. Perfect for a group of five like us.
It is very relaxing. My sister and our friends walked around the resort after we settled our stuff while I enjoyed the comfort of the bed and slept for the whole afternoon.😎
They also provide a copy of the menu inside the room so we got the chance to choose what we are going to order for dinner.
The nature theme is so extra. There are a lot of trees around the area. There are also a lot of options to do while inside the resort – swimming, go-kart, massages, a sports area for basketball, volleyball, and even an area for photo ops.
What I enjoyed the most is swimming time. They have three different pools. Two of which are near our room.
What makes every trip extra enjoyable is the food and I must say that we all enjoyed eating in their restaurant. Their approachable crew is a plus – very accommodating. They let us celebrate our friend’s birthday inside the restaurant. A small birthday cake was given by their staff with a matching “Happy Birthday” song.
The next day, a complementary breakfast was served. The restaurant offers a selection of Filipino, American, and Continental meals.
Here are their room rates. You can choose from their Villas, Suites, Cabanas, and for big groups – Valentino’s Place.

Overall, we really did enjoy our stay. We spend most of our time in their swimming pool. It is a great place to have a small group of family and friends. There are plenty of trees providing good shade, options for swimming in the different pools, walking around the area, and enjoying the variety of food.
Tip: The place is near the corcolon lomi house. You can check that out too.
