The Coral Reef (TCR) Beach Resort – A Quick Weekend Getaway

The Coral Reef (TCR) Beach Resort

The Coral Reef (TCR) Beach Resort is located in Maharlika Highway, Brgy. Baay, Tinambacan District, Calbayog City, Western Samar Philippines.

One of the realization came to me while we – the whole world is facing this hard time is the importance of spending time with your family or loved ones. It doesn’t always have to be grand or expensive. A simple family get together will do. It can be in your own home or a place where you can enjoy each others company. For us, since me and my sister can only go home every once or twice a year, we decided to make the most of our time here in Samar. For this weekend, we took on a road trip and visit a beach resort in Calbayog City.

The Coral Reef (TCR) Beach Resort

From the main Calbayog City, this resort is a 20 mins drive. It’s very accessible and easy to find because it’s located along the highway of Tinambacan District.

Upon arrival, we were assisted by a staff and led us to the parking area.

Before going inside the resort, they checked our temperature first. They have protective measures to ensure the safety of their guests.

We actually planned to swim but we were told that their swimming pool is not available because they are only allowing one family/group to use it. At that time, a family rented it already (Php3,000.00). This is for safety precaution. They are disinfecting before allowing others to use it. We were asked if we wanted to reserve the pool but we declined.

We decided to take their over-the-water cottage and order from their restaurant. Anyway, they have a nice view. So it’s still ok.

Much better to visit on a weekday to avoid the crowd. But they are still observing health safety protocols, if your free time is on the weekend like us. Just make sure to travel at your own risk. Always take an alcohol with you. Follow the place’s health protocols.

The resort is a great place to catch the sunset and sunrise too. We enjoyed staying here. It’s very quiet and calm.

Here’s their contact details if you’re planning to inquire.
