Taipei Budget Itinerary day 4 consist of exploring Taipei. We decided a chill tour within the city because our flight back to Manila was at 2:00 AM the next day.
Our budget itinerary for the day is an easy going and free trip. We checked out early at our accommodation, then deposited our luggage at the lockers in Taipei Main Station. The only expenses we’ve had on this day trip is the train tickets, foods and souvenirs.
As early as 9:00 AM in the morning we head to our first stop.
Taipei Budget Itinerary – Places to visit:
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall中正紀念堂 –
Admission : FREE
Direction: Take the MRT Red Line going to Chiang Kai Shek Station
Just beside the temple is a beautiful “man-made” waterfalls. There’s a lot of people here so going early can somehow avoid too much crowd.
Direction: Take the Blue Line 5 to Longshan Temple (龍山寺), the temple is located just north of the station plaza, Exit 1
Admission: FREE within the mall and the viewing area but if you’re planing to go up to the higher floor they have entrance free. Check out on KLOOK for discounted tickets. Link on the left.
Direction: Take an MRT going to Taipei 101 Station. These is where we stayed the rest of our afternoon before heading to the airport.
We spent our whole afternoon inside Taipei 101. They have an open area just outside the famous restaurant Din Tai Fung where you can watch performers while chilling.
As you can observe, all the place we’ve been to are accessible to their subway stations. That is because I am more comfortable travelling by train. I feel like I will never get lost as long as I’m within the train stations area.
This is the end of my Taiwan blogs. I really did enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back. I’ll try to visit during winter or “Cherry Blossom” season perhaps.
