Tagaytay Day Tour

Tagaytay City dubbed as the second summer capital of the Philippines is one of the most popular destinations for those who are looking for a quick weekend getaway near Manila. One of the reasons why tourist wants to visit the place is its low temperature due to its high altitude.

When my parents and siblings visited us here in Manila. We took them to Tagaytay for a day tour.



Drive through SLEX, and take the Sta. Rosa Exit.
From there, it’s a straight drive to Tagaytay City.
Straight ahead until you reach Oliveres – Rotunda.


Take a bus to any of these bus terminals – PITX in Castal Mall, DLTB Terminal in Buendia
Board the bus bound for either Nasugbu or Calatagan.
They will pass through Tagaytay.
Fare: Around P87.
Travel time is 2-3 hours


There are vans bound for Nasugbu, Calatagan or Lemery pass through Tagaytay.
Terminals: Starmall EDSA-Shaw, Alabang Terminal near Festival Mall and MetroPoint Mall in TAFT MRT Station.


There are 3 modes of transportation available.
Jeepney – Minimum Fare is P9
Bus – Main road
Tricycle – Fare per person is P20. Special Trips cost P100. Sometimes it depends on the distance. Make sure to ask the driver first.

Tagaytay Day Tour Itinerary:


Sky Ranch is one of the most exciting places to visit in Tagaytay City. It’s a theme park with 5-hectare land and offers numerous exciting and fun rides for kids, families, and thrill lovers. It also has a panoramic view of Taal Lake.

Price per ride: PHP 150.00
Admission Ticket
Php 80.00 – Weekdays (Mondays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
Php 100.00 – Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.)

Picnic Grove

Tagaytay Picnic Grove is a place where you can enjoy the picturesque view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano and do lots of fun activities like horse riding, zipline, and cable car riding.

It’s the picnic hotspot. Here you can rent huts and picnic sheds at a very reasonable price. They also have souvenir shops from where you can buy some Tagaytay famous foods and souvenir items.

People’s Park in the Sky

People’s Park in the Sky is an unfinished mansion before it became a tourist attraction. Today it is more popular as “People’s Park” among locals. It has an excellent view to take pictures. The park doesn’t have many activities to do though.

Opening hours: Everyday 08:00 am to 06:00 pm (the time may change, please check their official website or Facebook page)

Entrance fee: PHP 30.00

Taal Volcano

Taal Volcano and Taal Lake are the must-visit attractions in Tagaytay City. It is the treasure of the city, and no tourist of Tagaytay does miss the view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

Puzzle Mansion Bed & Breakfast

Saturday and Sunday: 7 am to 8 pm
