Sunny Shore’s Resort is located in Maharlika Highway, Brgy. Baay, Tinambacan District, Calbayog City, Western Samar Philippines.
In Calbayog, different towns offer different resorts with various amenities. In this feature, you’ll see our family’s go-to resort in Calbayog.
It is very common for Filipinos’ to go to a beach or resort right after a holiday. Like today, with all the left-over foods that we have over New Year’s night, we decided to extend the celebration on the beach. Before we don’t mind jam-packed resorts/beaches – like they said “the more the merrier”. But today is different. Given the current pandemic that we are facing, aside from udget we put safety as one of the “things” to consider. 🙂 So, we went to our go-to resort in Calbayog – the Sunny Shore’s Resort.
Sunny Shore’s Resort in Calbayog
What we like about the resort is their villa 1 and villa 2. You can rent their villas and enjoy your room with exclusive indoor pool.
Villa 1 (1 room with CR) can accommodate 5-7 people. It cost Php 3,500 overnight. Check-in by 2 PM and Check-out at 12noon the next day.
Villa 2 (1 bedroom,1 living room, and 1 CR) is bigger than Villa 1. It can accommodate 10-15 people. It cost Php 5,500 overnight. Check-in by 2 PM and Check-out at 12noon the next day.
This villa has it’s own Karaoke | Videoke.
We don’t usually use the big swimming pool outside. We prefer the private pool or we go to the beach to swim.
The resort is very spacious you will never have an issue with the parking space. Also, it gives you the province vibe with all the coconut trees within the area.
COTTAGES AND TENTS – They don’t have an entrance fee (for now I guess). What you need to do is rent on of their cottages or tents good for 10-15 people. Additional Php 50.00 per person if you exceed the capacity.
For thrill-seekers, you can try their adventure amenities. You can rent their jet ski for Php 2,000 for 1 hour.
If you’re in a group, you can try their banana boat ride.
Or try our favorite, kayaking for Php 500 for 1 hour.
I always go with either of my siblings – I can’t go alone. 🙂 Even though I know how to swim, I’m afraid of deep water. I feel like my imagination is playing with me – thinking of what might be hiding below the surface, a shark maybe, a monster that can just grab your feet, or simply the vast abyss itself.
If you’re not into water activities, you can rent their Karaoke | Videoke even if you’re renting a cottage or a tent.
We always had fun every time we visit. Staffs are very accommodating. This resort gave us an option to relax, chill and enjoy without compromising our safety.
Please note that rates may differ by the time you decided to visit. For inquiries, booking and reservation you may contact.

We look forward to other amenities and other addition to what they can offer to their guest since the resort is still in continuous development.
