Singapore Cable Car system offers stunning panoramic views of the city, Sentosa Island, and the surrounding waters, making it both a mode of transportation and a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can choose from different cable car experiences, including the Mount Faber Line, the Sentosa Line, and the Sky Pass, which provides access to both lines and various attractions along the way. It is one of the top things to do when you are in Singapore.
Even though I have been on the cable car numerous times in the past, it still gives me the thrill whenever I ride it. The cable car in Singapore though is a little bit overwhelming at first because there are 2 different lines, and there are several types of tickets. I hope this article will help answer some of your questions and clear any confusion about riding the cable car.

Singapore Cable Car Route
The Singapore Cable Car Sky Network consists of 2 lines: Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line. The Singapore Cable Car operates from two main locations:
- Mount Faber Station: Mount Faber is one of the two main starting points for the Singapore Cable Car. It’s located on Mount Faber, a hill in the southern part of Singapore. From Mount Faber Station, you can take the cable car to Sentosa Island or to other points along the cable car line.
- Sentosa Station: Sentosa Station is the other primary station for the Singapore Cable Car. It’s located on Sentosa Island itself. From Sentosa Station, you can take the cable car to Mount Faber or to other attractions on Sentosa Island, such as Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, and Adventure Cove Waterpark.

Both of these lines are not physically connected. The nearest intersection of these lines is at Sentosa Station (of Mount Faber Line) and Imbiah Lookout Station (of Sentosa Line); these 2 stations are 5 minutes walking distance away.

We wanted to ride both of these lines so here’s what we did.
- We start at Harbourfront Station (Green Line). We took the cable car going toSentosa Station (Green Line).
- From Sentosa Station(Green Line), we hope off and transfer to Imbiah Lookout Station (Orange Line)
- We didn’t hope off on the Cable car. We took the roundtrip and remained inside from Imbiah Lookout Station (Orange Line) -> Siloso Point Station (Orange Line) -> back to the Imbiah Lookout Station (Orange Line) -> Merlion Station (Orange Line) -> then back to Imbiah Lookout Station (Orange Line).
- When we came back to Imbiah Lookout Station (Orange Line), we hopped off. Walked for 5 minutes to Sentosa and explored the area.
- After that we rode the Green Line again from Sentosa Line to Harbourfront Station, We didn’t get off but continued to Mount Faber Station.
- We hopped off at Mount Faber Station and enjoyed the complimentary cake and drinks from the Klook deal we purchased which is included on the cable car ticket. There’s a restaurant and a coffee shop at this station that we checked out.
- After that snack and taking pictures, we head back to Mount Faber Station and ride the cable car going to the Harbourfront Station which is the end of our cable car ride.

How long is the Singapore cable car ride?
A round-trip on the Mount Faber Line is about 26 to 30 minutes, which translates to approximately 6.5 to 7.5 minutes between each station.
Meanwhile, a round trip on the Sentosa Line is about 12 to 15 minutes, which translates to approximately 3 to 3.5 minutes between each station.
From our experience, it took us from 9 am and 2 pm for the whole experience.
How much is a cable car ride?
Cable Car Sky Pass is a ticket that allows visitors to ride BOTH Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line. But there are 6 types of cable car tickets. You can purchase at the ticketing office directly or the same as what we did, we purchased via Klook. Below is the link.
