The Meteor Garden Filming Location in Taiwan is one of the main reasons why I am so excited to visit this country. For me, this is the highlight of our Taiwan Trip. I reminisce about my childhood fangirling moment and remember that probably this is the very first time I ever fan-girl over something or someone.

Myyygaaaad! I can still remember the song! The feels!… OMG… Ok, let’s start. On this 3rd day of our Taipei Taiwan Itinerary, we went to “Ying De University” of Meteor Garden or “National Chung Cheng University” in real life. According to my research, they also filmed at “National Taiwan University” in Taipei, but most of the noticeable scenes and 80% of the school scenes were shot at “National Chung Cheng University”.

Meteor Garden Filming Location – National Chung Cheng Univesity:
How to go there:
From Taipei Main Station, we took the THSR (TRA is also an option if you are on a budget – but takes a longer traveling time) going to Chiayi THSR Station. Then, since we are a group of 3, we decided to take a cab (30 mins) for TWD 500 and split the fare into 3. But the cheaper way is to ride bus #106 which will take 1 hour and a half to get there.
After our visit, for our way going back to Chiayi THSR Station, we tried the cheaper way. We rode a bus # 106.

When we get there, with so much excitement – we immediately explore the area. Let me take you to my trip down to memory lane. Here are the filming spots that we were able to visit.

1. The rooftop where Huā Zé Lèi always sits.
These scenes were taken from the top of the school’s admin building.
We wanted to go inside but since we went on a weekend, the school admin is closed to outsiders.
2. The area where F4 graduated.
Remember when F4 graduated? Its filming location is just beside the Admin building. This is in the school’s open area.
3. The canteen where F4 always hangs out.
It is located inside the School’s library. In the basement beside their locker area. We didn’t stay that long because it was so quiet and there were students inside studying.
4. The pathway where Sanchai walks to her class.
This is actually the hardest part to locate because there are a lot of similar areas. Also, the school already changed from what it was before so we asked the security guard for help. 😍
5. How can I forget the scene, where Dao Min Si or Jerry Yan in real life kissed Sanchai.
It’s located inside the school’s gymnasium. From my number six location, before you head down the stairs – turn right.
6. When Sanchai and her friend Shing He was trying to get away with the bullies. And of course, F4.
This is located inside the school’s gymnasium. It’s not hard to find because it’s the building beside the bus stop where you arrive.
7. Just in front of it, is the Tranquility Lake.
This location is very visible throughout the first season when Sanchai and the F4 are still studying in Ying De University.
It is also just in front of the gymnasium.
8. And lastly, Sanchai’s famous locker. A true fan knows Sanchai’s locker number….. Yes! It’s locker #150.
It is located inside the school’s Library. When you go inside. Turn right, you will see a stair going down that will lead you to the famous locker area of Sanchai and the Canteen where F4 is always.
This is so overwhelming. I can’t believe I’m actually at the place where my childhood favorite drama series was filmed. F4 and Sanchai were here before. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Myyygaaaddddd!!!!!! The place was actually far from Taipei but going all the way here was so worth it.
Simple things that can make this fan-girl heart happy. Thank You, Lord.
