Goblin’s Filming Location : Deoksugung Stone-Wall Road

Goblin filming location

Goblin’s Filming Location

Goblin ( The Lonely and Great god ) is one of my favorite Korean dramas. It is a tv series starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go-Eun, Lee Dong-Wook, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-Jae.

Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is a goblin and protector of souls. He is the landlord of the grim reaper (Lee Dong-Wook), who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Wanting to end his immortal life, Shin has been looking for his human bride, the only person who can end his life. Meanwhile, Ji Eun-Tak (Kim Go-Eun) is a high school student who remains optimistic despite the tragedies and difficulties she has experienced in her life. She summons the goblin by chance, and through various encounters, ends up falling in love with him. Sunny (Yoo In-na) is a chicken restaurant owner, whose beauty is undeniable. These four characters’ lives took a series of twists and turn when they intertwined.

Although the drama was over, that Goblin vibe is still there. That resulted in a lot of people including me, wanting to see or visit some of its filming locations.

GOBLIN’S FILMING LOCATION:

Familiar with this scene? This is where Kim Shin sees the Grim Reaper’s tea room through the wall.

Location: Deoksugung Stone-Wall Road
Address: 99 Sejong-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul (서울특별시 중구 세종대로 99 (정동))
Directions: Take the Seoul Subway Line 1 or 2 and get off at City Hall station, Exit 2. You can see it there.

In reality, this place is called Deoksugung Palace Stone-wall Road. This romantic stone wall road is a popular date spot for couples to stroll.

Also, as you walk along, you’ll see Goblin’s house. We weren’t able to get inside though.
