The day after we arrived from Manila, we were still easing into the slower, more relaxed pace of Calbayog City, Samar—a city known for its warm people and growing café scene. With my mom and sister, we decided to head out for a quick snack. My sister kindly treated us, and Mama suggested we go to Coffee Point—a place I had visited before but was excited to see again.
From the moment we arrived, one thing already stood out: parking was not a problem at all. There are plenty of parking spaces conveniently located beside the road, and it felt safe too—definitely a big plus for me.
This wasn’t my first time at Coffee Point. The last time I visited was during the summer, and I immediately noticed the big improvements the moment we walked in. The café now has a fully enclosed, air-conditioned dining area, which made the experience so much better. Before, it could get quite hot, especially during humid days. While they still have outdoor tables for those who prefer al fresco dining, the air-conditioned space was a welcome upgrade.
Despite it being a Saturday and already busy with customers, we were lucky enough to find an available table. The ambience was warm, cozy, and inviting—perfect for families, friends, or even solo coffee dates.

The prices at Coffee Point are very affordable, especially considering the quality and serving size. We ordered a mix of drinks and comfort food that satisfied everyone at the table:

Our total bill came to ₱1,560, which was more than worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious, flavorful, and served fresh. It was one of those meals where you can really tell that care goes into the food.
What made the moment even more special was the timing. While we were eating, a group of students came in to sing Christmas carols. It felt like a free, unexpected mini performance—adding a heartwarming holiday touch to our dining experience.
