CEBU ITINERARY – 3 Days Travel Guide + Expenses

cebu itinerary

Cebu Itinerary mag- ready na kayo! May promo flights.

It all started with that! Me and my friends took the promo advantage and booked our flight going to the Queen City of the South – Cebu. It was nine months in the making. Enough time to prepare and save money. After we booked our tickets, we immediately planned our trip – the Cebu itinerary, accommodation, transportation, and of course the possible expenses.

Cebu is a stunning island province and one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines. It has idyllic white-sand beaches, gorgeous natural scenery, and so many options for adventure seekers.

3 Days 2 Nights CEBU ITINERARY

Tourist Spots in Cebu are far from each other. Going to each place with public transportation is also an option but it will consume much of your time. My suggestion for your Cebu itinerary is to rent a van (contact details below) and then decide on your own itinerary.

We rented a van from Klook, we contacted the driver and informed them with the arrangement of the places we want to visit.

You can also book activities from Klook. The best reason why I always book with Klook is to avoid scams online. So if you are also interested, here’s the link:

Day 1 – Oslob – Sumilon Island – Tumalog Falls – Pescador Island – Moalboal – Badian Cebu
OSLOB WHALE WATCHING

The first from our itinerary is to go to Oslob.

Oslob is a small town located in Brgy. Tan-Awan, South Cebu. It’s one of the best-known places in the world to snorkel with whale sharks. Basically, swimming with the whales, how cool is that?

I’ve been looking forward to this. A very unique experience swimming with the sharks while the boatmen are feeding them in order to lure them. Just make sure to be mindful of your surroundings when swimming with the whale sharks so that you don’t accidentally touch them or kick them by accident as they are not shy and will swim right up next to the boat. It is also not allowed to use sunblock because these chemicals can harm them.

You can pay for the activity in Oslob when you arrived but we really wanted to secure a slot so we booked online. We don’t want to go all the way there just to be informed that they are already fully booked for the day. 😂

SUMILON ISLAND

Sumilon Island is just 20 minutes boat ride from Oslob. So, after swimming with the whales, we head back to our van and went to Mainland Bancogon where we ride a boat going to the island. I love the clear blue water and its sandbar. I’m glad we include this on our itinerary.

TUMALOG FALLS

It’s a natural attraction, usually a side trip to Oslob whale watching. It has fantastic gossamer or horsetail-like waterfalls. The entrance fee is 20 pesos if you plan to visit without a tour and the opening times are Monday to Sunday from 6 am to 5 pm.

There is a swimming area at the base of the falls where you can take a dip to cool off. The color of the water in the basin is that classic milky blue tinge that the Philippines is most famous for!

PESCADOR ISLAND

After Tumalog Falls, we traveled for more than an hour going to Tañon Strait, a few kilometers from the western coast of the island of Cebu. This is also where we stayed for a night. After we settled our things in our hotel, we rented a boat for our island hopping – Pescador Island and Moalboal Sardines run.

It’s snorkeling time with the beautiful corals and small fishes.

Pescador Island

We saw dolphins swimming from afar during our boat ride. Too bad I wasn’t able to take a photo.

MOALBOAL SARDINES RUN

It’s a paradise for divers as they say. Truly enough, my friends and I enjoyed swimming with millions of sardines underneath as they circulate around us in an almost hypnotic spectacle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! You can rent snorkeling gear but much better if you have your own.

Day 2 – Alegria Badian Canyoneering – Kawasan Falls – Osmenia Peak

Our Cebu Itinerary will not be complete without the famous Alegria Badian Canyoneering.

FULL COURSE CANYONEERING

There is an option to go for normal canyoneering. Our squad decided to choose a bit of an adventure and go to the Alegria to Badian route. You can actually skip some parts and go to the shortcuts if you are not comfortable with the route. It involves trekking, crossing rock formations, walking over creeks and streams, traversing canyons, and jumping off high waterfalls. Tour guides are all accommodating and they made the activities more fun.

I recommend pre-booking a Canyoneering and Kawasan Falls Tour online in advance with Klook to get the best and most discounted rates.

KAWASAN FALLS

At the end of the canyon, it brought us to the famous Kawasan Falls.

We spent our time swimming here. To be honest it wasn’t the one that I am expecting. Maybe because it was a bit crowded when we got there. You have to pay Php 100 for you to ride the floating kawayan and they will take you to the middle of the falls.
