Growing up, I was never the loudest in the room. I wasn’t the type to easily speak up or be the center of attention. But give me a pen and paper—or now, a blank screen—and suddenly, I had a voice.
Back in school, I found my place in the campus publication. Writing became my comfort zone, my way of making sense of the world. It was through words that I felt seen, even if no one else was looking. I’ve always found it easier to express myself through writing than speaking out loud. There’s something about words on a page that gives me peace, that makes me feel understood—even if I’m the only one reading them.
But like many of us, life happened.
After graduating and becoming a Licensed Electronics Engineer (ECE), I threw myself into work. The daily grind slowly pulled me away from writing. What was once my passion turned into a quiet longing, tucked behind spreadsheets, reports, and responsibilities. I didn’t stop loving writing—I just forgot to make space for it.
Until I realized I missed that part of me too much.
So I created Lucid Horizon.
This blog is my way back. It’s a place where I can be myself again—raw, real, reflective. It’s where I document my travels across the Philippines, especially my dream to visit all 82 provinces. But beyond the destinations, it’s about capturing memories, sharing stories, and reconnecting with the writer I’ve always been.
I blog because I believe stories matter—even the simple ones. I blog because writing helps me breathe, reflect, and remember. I blog because somewhere out there, someone might read a post and feel a little less alone. And most of all, I blog for me—to keep that quiet voice alive, no matter how busy life gets.
