Welcome to LUCID HORIZON, your passport to a world of adventure and exploration! This vibrant travel and personal blog is a reflection of all the things that pique my interest, from sharing my globetrotting escapades, meticulously crafted itineraries, savvy budget hacks, illuminating travel guides, candid reviews, and so much more.

As you navigate through the stories and insights shared here, I hope you find yourself ignited with excitement and a renewed sense of wanderlust. Perhaps, even inspired to embark on your own extraordinary journeys and embrace the innate adventurer within you. Above all, I aim to cultivate a deep appreciation for the awe-inspiring wonders that our Creator has bestowed upon this magnificent world.

Now, let me introduce myself. I’m Syra, a Filipina backpacker hailing from Manila but with roots firmly planted in the stunning landscapes of Samar. You’ll often find me accompanied by my adventurous sister, May, who is an integral part of the tales you’ll discover on this website. Together, we embark on remarkable adventures alongside our family, united by a common mission to explore the globe on a budget.

By profession, I hold a license in ECE (Electronics and Communications Engineering), but by heart, I’m an avid traveler yearning to break free from the confines of routine. One day, I woke up with a dream: to uncover the vast tapestry of life’s offerings, to shatter the boundaries of my comfort zone. I refused to be confined within the four walls of my workplace. Instead, I craved to traverse the world, forge connections with diverse souls, partake in thrilling escapades, and savor new experiences.

This blog, LUCID HORIZON, is my canvas where I paint the vivid strokes of my adventures. Thank you for joining me on this exhilarating voyage, and together, let’s explore the boundless horizons that await us!

“Lord I go with you, I am safe with you. I do not travel alone, For your hand is upon me, Your protection is divine. Besides, in front and behind You encircle my life, For I am yours, and you are mine.”

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. – Psalm 46:1
